Alberte Parnuuna

Alberte Parnuuna (KN, born 1995) she/her is a filmmaker and visual artist from Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland). AP graduated with a master’s degree in Fine Arts of Visual Culture from University of Copenhagen (2022). She often works with mixed media and is currently interested in expression of identity, cultural codes and subtext. Her practice includes video works, photography (digital & analogue), 2D animation, acrylic painting, beadwork and poetry. 

Alberte Parnuuna is exhibiting at Gallery Napa in Rovaniemi (FIN) in August 2023 as part of the Young Arctic Artists exhibition.

Their work ‘Samani’ is shown with the screener on this year’s Hexennacht.
